As we are not registered immigration agents, we cannot provide information about how to lodge an application. What we can say is that DIAC provide some good guides and checklists, and their staff are generally very helpful.
It still pays to use their time wisely by putting together what you THINK is correct and then asking your questions - you will generally receive a more helpful response if you can show that you are not asking DIAC to put the the application together for you!
If you are after a fast response at either State Government or DIAC, then we suggest you make sure that you
- have a well researched business plan ;-)
- provide all of the necessary documents up front,
- arrange documents in sequence as per the checklists,
- provide the necessary originals, translations and certified copies.
Take care to do a good job - DIAC can reject a case out of hand if the application is incomplete. State Governments work without charging fees for their assessment, so if they are a little short staffed it is not a good idea to test their patience with weak preparation.
DIAC contact points outside Australia.
