This category is not generally supported by State Sponsorship Services as the main activity is investment in Treasury Bonds. However NSW is the only State that requires a business plan to show the business that will run in addition to the treasury investment.
Where applicants are a year or two older than cut off age, several States will consider sponsorship where additional funds are invested, or a separate business activity is to be undertaken and this will require a business plan.
We can support any application that involves business development in addition to regular fixed investments. The Investor Category application is still lodged as per normal with the State Government, with a supporting business plan detailing the further investment and economic benefit that will be delivered by the business. We suggest that you also talk directly with the State or Territory Government about their Treasury Bonds.
If there is an issue with age, it is sometimes easier to secure sponsorship if business investment is in addition to purchase of State Treasury Bonds.
